With the belief that skill development must be an integral part of broader employment and development strategies Neeta got involved with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in 2007. In pursuit of her passion for ensuring logical solutions to the skill development landscape, Neeta has completed her Doctorate on the subject of Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs).
CII has the industry’s mandate in raising the employability quotient of the country, in partnership with Government. At CII, her efforts are directed towards making visible changes to the skill landscape of the country through policy advocacy and innovative approaches while developing national and international partnerships.
Neeta has been an active member of two of the flagship Public Private Partnership (PPP) schemes, “Upgradation of 1396 ITIs through PPP” and “Modular Employable Scheme” of the government of India and represents the organization at the Steering Committees and Apex Bodies. She has been a member of the Working Group on Skill Development for the XIIth Five Year Plan. Her experience in journalism has enabled her to analyse and take pragmatic decisions in the evolving skills ecosystem. She believes that a skilled nation is the definite path towards a prosperous nation.
